Mixtape Monday
Hi guys. Sorry I’m posting so late today. Here’s a fall-ish mix. It’s a little on the dancy side, but way towards the hippy edge of the dancy side. If you’re not a hooker I suggest putting this mix on your mp3 playing device while you rake your lawn.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Nirvana in my truck lately, so there’s two songs that Nirvana covered. And a song by the actor David Hemmings, who was very handsome during his heydey but not so much later in life. Also, Kathryn Williams covering the Velvet Underground, and a Lee Hazelwood song that Kathryn Williams did on the Lee Hazelwood tribute that came out a few years ago. Kathryn Williams is particularly good for escorting music because her voice is very pretty without actually being pretty. [See also: Sandoval, Hope; Thorn, Tracey; Welch, Gillian.] Her voice is the musical equivalent of taking narcotics to hide your misery when you have to sleep with an ugly man with a small penis and severe asthma. But like in a pretty way. Also, don’t take narcotics when you’re escorting. It’s unprofessional.
And, as usual, I highly recommend buying (with your hard-earned money) the albums that these songs came off of, if you like them. Your local record store could use the money.
