Comments For Hookers/Other News

So, I just got an e-mail from a gentle reader asking why his comments weren’t getting posted.  I moderate the comments here not because I’m trying to censor anybody, but because I kept getting these page-long comment-ad spam things for prescriptions.  But every time someone posted a comment, real or junky, I’d get an e-mail letting me know, and then I’d approve it, and that would be that.  Except that I stopped getting them after a while….  I kind of assumed no one was reading this little blog (except my roommate, who, for some reason, get to post comments with no problem) but then I just checked and had 16 comments waiting approval.  I don’t know why I stopped getting the e-mails.  It’s probably my own stupidity, but I’m going to blame gmail, because they suck.

So, comments should be all set now.  Now if I could just figure out how to make my blogroll appear….

In other news, Sister Spit: The Next Generation is coming to Boston tonight. If you don’t know, it’s a traveling show featuring a bunch of queer lady writers, like my hero, Michelle Tea.  It’s at 7:30 at the alarmingly named Spontaneous Celebrations in JP.  If you get a chance you should check out the tour in your town, if you haven’t missed it already.

And speaking of not missing things, the deadline for the 2008 Sex Workers’ Art Show has been extended!  So my little ladies and gentlemen of the night, get your act together and you could be a part of that awesome road trip next winter.

And, totally unrelatedly, if you’re in Providence you should check out the 3-D pictures of Mars at the Museum of Natural History.  They’re super awesome.  (And I don’t even think space is that exciting….)

Finally, on the downside, I appear to have lost two cameras.  This is probably because I’m an airhead and misplace everything, but one’s a digital that I’ve used for wedding and to take dirty pictures of people I met online, and the other one’s a really old Pentax that’s kind of my favorite possession.  And both of them were presents….  I’m kinda bummed about it.
