Mixtape Monday
I’m actually early posting this week’s mix. Mostly because I’m doing an extra radio show tomorrow–9:30 PM EST at bsrlive.com if you care–and probably won’t have time to do this then. The mix mostly sprung from the Stone Roses track because I was reading the chapter about them in the 33 1/3 anthology that came out last fall. Also on this mix: lots of other English men, an original version of a song made popular by the Lemonheads, a cheesy 80’s saxophone, and what may be the single silliest song to have come out of Britpop.
If you like the mix, you might want to buy the albums the songs came off of. Physical copies of the album, maybe, from a real store in your own town. If there are any, that is. And, as always, the mix only stays up until next Monday.
